Ministry of Nature, Environment and Tourism signs an MoU with what3words

On July 20, Minister of Nature, Environment and Tourism N. Tserenbat signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation with the director of what3words in Mongolia, headquartered in London, M. Uyanga. According to officials, utilizing the what3words location application in the tourism sector will help resolve difficulties in determining addresses, which can be a challenge for both foreign and local tourists. Minister N. Tserenbat stated, “The Mongolian tourism sector’s development policies are hinged on two pillars: basic infrastructure and digital infrastructure. We are aiming to bring tourism revenue to 10 percent of GDP by 2030. The state’s support for the development of digital technology-based tourism will play an important role in achieving this goal.”
